Gucci Cosmetics preview

Design house Gucci is to join the likes of Dior, Chanel and Giorgio Armani by finally making the leap into cosmetics retail. After a lot of speculation the brand announced the great news earlier in the year and the collection is due to launch in September 2014. Creative director at Gucci Frida Giannini said while the project officially began four years ago the idea was born a long time ago and each product has been tried and tested by the woman herself. Inspiration for the line was sought from the archives of Gucci and from fashion icons including Jerry Hall and Jane Birkin. 

In May it was announced that granddaughter of Hollywood legend Grace Kelly, Charlotte Casiraghi is to become the face of the new line. Charlotte seemed to be a natural choice for Gucci as she has already appeared in their "Forever Now" campaign. 

Charlotte is in good company as Blake Lively and James Franco both front fragrances for the brand. The collection is said to include eye makeup, lip products, nail polish, foundations and much more. We cannot wait until September and judging by these preview pictures this collection will do phenomenally well.
